Llanberis is well known for sitting at the base of Snowdon and its mountain railway that makes its way to its lofty summit. The nearby lakes of Padarn and Peris dissect the mountain range creating the Llanberis Pass, an area renowned for its rugged beauty and but also home to a range of tourist attractions related to the slate industry as well as excellent climbing and watersport facilities.
