3.4 Each entry must include the child’s name and age, together with a parent/guardian’s name, email address and telephone number.
3.5 Unless otherwise stated, a maximum of one entry per child is allowed. If multiple entries are received, the Promoter may accept only the first entry or disqualify all entries from that child.

4.3 Artwork must not include any copyrighted or trademarked characters, logos or designs (for example, well-known film, TV or cartoon characters), and must not infringe any third party’s rights.
4.4 Artwork must be suitable for all ages and must not contain anything that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate.

6. Selection of Winner

6.1 All valid entries received by the closing date will be anonymously reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.
6.2 Entries will be judged on criteria including creativity, festive theme, overall impact and suitability for use as a Christmas card design.

7.2 The prize is non-transferable and no cash or other alternative will be offered, except that the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable.

8. Winner Notification & Publicity

8.1 The Promoter will contact the winning child’s parent/guardian using the contact details provided on or shortly after 2 December 2025.
8.2 If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 1 days of notification, fails to provide the original artwork, or fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant.
8.3 By entering, the parent/guardian of the winning child agrees that:
    (a) the child’s first name, age and their winning artwork may be used in announcements about the competition; and
    (b) the Promoter and St David’s Hospice may take and use a photograph of the child together with their winning artwork on their websites, social media channels and other promotional materials in connection with this competition and related fundraising, without additional payment.

9. Use of Artwork & Intellectual Property

9.1 The copyright in the artwork will remain with the child (or their parent/guardian, as applicable).
9.2 However, by submitting an entry, the parent/guardian grants the Promoter and St David’s Hospice a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display the artwork, in whole or in part, in any media for:

11. General

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or disqualify any entrant where it reasonably believes there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, an attempt to gain unfair advantage, or any entry which is incomplete, illegible or inappropriate.
11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, provided that it will always try to minimise the effect on entrants.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, the Promoter will not be responsible for any loss, damage or disappointment suffered by any entrant arising from entering the competition or accepting the prize.
11.4 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
