A North Wales estate agent is bringing together industry experts in an event aimed at helping first time buyers onto the property ladder.
The open evening on Tuesday July 26 is being organised by Dafydd Hardy Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents.
The company, which has offices across Gwynedd and Anglesey, says it wants to help answer the questions many first-time buyers have by bringing together a group of experts from the region.
A solicitor, specialising in conveyancing; an independent mortgage advisor; a surveyor and several property agents will be on-hand at the informal drop-in session in Bangor.
From 4.30pm until 7.30pm people considering buying their first property – or those that have not bought a house for several years – are being encouraged to come and get some impartial, friendly advice.
Non Regan, Dafydd Hardy’s branch manager at Bangor, stressed the informality and relaxed atmosphere of the event.
“This is not a sit down seminar or anything like that – just a chance to have a chat, for free, with some professional experts over a cup of tea and a slice or two of some home-made cake,” Non explained.
“Buying your first house is a big decision and can seem pretty daunting if you don’t understand the system very well,” said Non.
“We want to debunk some of the myths surrounding the property industry and make sure people understand the whole process a lot better.
“Of course the most common question for anyone considering buying their first house is ‘can I afford it?’.”
“Well, it really is an excellent time to buy a house at the moment so it’s worthwhile getting a real understanding of your options - which is what this event is all about,” Non added.
Dafydd Hardy’s first-time buyer evening will be at their Bangor office – 157 High Street, next to the Fat Cat – between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday 26 July.
Just pop in at any time throughout the evening for an informal chat with one of the property industry experts.
