Get Creative This Easter with the Dafydd Hardy Easter Art Contest!

We’re excited to launch our very first Dafydd Hardy Easter Art Contest, inviting all young artists aged 12 and under to join in the fun! This is your chance to let your imagination run wild and create a unique Easter x Houses masterpiece.

Whether you're dreaming up colourful Easter eggs, springtime scenes, or adding a festive twist to something recognisably “Dafydd Hardy,” like an Easter‑themed house, a bunny holding a Dafydd Hardy ‘For Sale’ sign, or a spring garden in our purple branding, we want to see your brightest, boldest, and most magical ideas. It doesn’t matter if you love to sketch, doodle, paint, or collage, this contest is all about having fun and letting your creativity shine.

There will be 5 lucky winners. 1st place will receive a local easter hamper plus a £100 donation to their primary school. The 4 runners up each will win an easter egg each. So, grab your pens, paints, or crayons and get creating! We can’t wait to see your amazing Easter designs.

How to enter (at a glance)

  1. Create and Easter X Dafydd Hardy themed drawing (your child’s own work), no bigger than A4 and ideally in portrait (upright).
  2. Take a clear photo or scan of the drawing.
  3. Submit it online using the form above, including the child’s name and age, the child’s primary school name, plus a parent/guardian’s name, email and phone number.

Who can enter? Children aged 12 or under who live in an LL postcode area, with adult permission from a parent or guardian.

Rules

  • Open to children aged 12 or under who live in an LL postcode area.
  • Adult permission is required to enter (from a parent or guardian).
  • Artwork must be the child’s own original drawing – no AI images, no tracing and no famous characters or logos.
  • Artwork should be festive, no bigger than A4, and ideally in portrait (upright) layout.
  • Entry is free and online only – please submit a clear photo/scan of the drawing.
  • Include the child’s name, age, and a parent/guardian’s name, email and phone number with the entry.
  • Closing date: Wednesday 1st of April at midnight. Entries after this won’t be counted.
  • The winner will be announced on Sunday the 5th of April 2026., Easter Day.
  • The winner must bring the original drawing to Dafydd Hardy within 3 days of the closing date so it can be scanned – this is when the Prize will be given to the child.
  • The winner agrees that their first name, age and a photo of the winning artwork can be shared on Dafydd Hardy social media accounts.

Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter of this competition is Dafydd Hardy Estate Agents Ltd, of 156 High Street, Bangor, LL57 1NU (the Promoter).

2. Eligibility

2.1 The competition is open to children aged 12 or under, closing on the 1st of April 2026
2.2 Entrants must be resident in the LL postcode area (i.e. a home address with a postcode beginning “LL”).
2.3 Employees of Dafydd Hardy Estate Agents Ltd, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with the competition are eligible to enter.
2.4 Adult permission is required. By submitting an entry, the person submitting confirms they are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or that they have the parent/guardian’s permission, and that the parent/guardian agrees to these Terms and Conditions on the child’s behalf.

3. How to Enter

3.1 Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
3.2 Artwork must be submitted online only. Entries can be submitted by:
    (a) submitting a clear, high-resolution scan or photograph of the artwork by uploading via any online form or link provided by the Promoter for this competition.
3.3 Entries must not be sent by post or delivered to offices; such entries will not be judged. Although the offices can help with uploading images or scans if required.
3.4 Each entry must include the child’s name and age, together with a parent/guardian’s name, email address and telephone number and the childs primary school name.
3.5 Unless otherwise stated, a maximum of one entry per child is allowed. If multiple entries are received, the Promoter may accept only the first entry or disqualify all entries from that child.
3.6 The closing date for entries is 1st of April at 23:59 (UK time). Entries received after this time will not be accepted, regardless of the reason.
3.7 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, corrupted or not received for any reason.

4. Artwork Requirements

4.1 Artwork must be the child’s own, original work.
4.2 AI-generated images are not permitted. Entries that, in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion, use AI or have been traced or copied from another image may be disqualified.
4.3 Artwork must not include any copyrighted or trademarked characters, logos or designs (for example, well-known film, TV or cartoon characters), and must not infringe any third party’s rights.
4.4 Artwork must be suitable for all ages and must not contain anything that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate.
4.5 The Promoter recommends that artwork is created on paper or card no larger than A4 and in portrait orientation.

5. Original Artwork

5.1 The winner must provide the original artwork to the Promoter to be scanned.
5.2 Once the winning entry has been confirmed, the Promoter will arrange a time with the parent/guardian for the child to bring the original drawing to Dafydd Hardy Estate Agents.
5.3 The original artwork must be brought to the above address within 3 days of the closing date, once the winner has been informed (i.e. by 4 April 2026, unless the Promoter notifies otherwise).
5.4 The Easter Hamper will be presented at the time the original artwork is brought in and scanned and the £100 donation to the primary school will be arranged within 2 weeks of the winner being announced.
5.5 The Promoter will take reasonable care of original artwork but is not responsible for loss or damage in transit or while in its possession, unless caused by the Promoter’s negligence.
5.6 The Promoter may retain the original artwork for display and archival purposes and is not obliged to return it.

6. Selection of Winner

6.1 All valid entries received by the closing date will be anonymously reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter.
6.2 Entries will be judged on criteria including creativity, festive theme, overall impact and suitability for use as a Christmas card design.
6.3 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
6.4 The winner will be selected and announced on 5th of April 2026, or as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter.

7. Prize

7.1 There is a total of 6 prizes. 1st place will receive an local easter hampe, plus a £100 donation to their primary school. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place will receive a large easter egg.
7.2 The prize is non-transferable and no cash or other alternative will be offered, except that the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable.
 

8. Winner Notification & Publicity

8.1 The Promoter will contact the winning child’s parent/guardian using the contact details provided on or shortly after 5th of April 2026.
8.2 If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 1 days of notification, fails to provide the original artwork, or fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant.
8.3 By entering, the parent/guardian of the winning child agrees that:
    (a) the child’s first name, age and their winning artwork may be used in announcements about the competition; and
    (b) the Promoter may take and use a photograph of the child together with their winning artwork on their websites, social media channels and other promotional materials in connection with this competition and related fundraising, without additional payment.

9. Use of Artwork & Intellectual Property

9.1 The copyright in the artwork will remain with the child (or their parent/guardian, as applicable).
9.2 However, by submitting an entry, the parent/guardian grants the Promoter a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display the artwork, in whole or in part, in any media for:
    (a) running and promoting this competition;
    (b) related promotional and publicity activities.
9.3 The Promoter may resize, crop or otherwise adapt the artwork as reasonably necessary for printing and promotional purposes.

10. Data Protection

10.1 The Promoter will collect and use personal data (such as the child’s name and age, and the parent/guardian’s contact details) only for the purposes of administering this competition, contacting winners, and related publicity, unless you have expressly agreed to receive other communications. The information will be destroyed after the competition. 
10.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and the Promoter’s privacy notice, available at www.dafyddhardy.co.uk.

11. General

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or disqualify any entrant where it reasonably believes there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, an attempt to gain unfair advantage, or any entry which is incomplete, illegible or inappropriate.
11.2 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, provided that it will always try to minimise the effect on entrants.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, the Promoter will not be responsible for any loss, damage or disappointment suffered by any entrant arising from entering the competition or accepting the prize.
11.4 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
