The kitchen can certainly cater come family mealtimes and features an electric AGA range.
Fir Grove has been enlarged somewhat to the rear on the ground floor, creating a further two bedrooms and bathroom apart from those on the first floor - it's easy to envisage that this section of the house could be modified somewhat and function as an annexe for a dependant family member, adding a certain versatility to the accommodation.
There are four principal bedrooms to the first floor which again have a certain elegance and charm with original fireplaces on display. The master bedroom enjoys en-suite facilities and a walk-in wardrobe whilst all additional bathrooms feature classic suites which incorporate rolled top baths, adding a hint of luxury. All windows utilise modern uPVC units, a good majority being sash fitment in keeping with the period style of the property and Economy 7 storage heating serves generally throughout.
Externally, the gardens encompass the property, a large proportion sloping to the south and east with a private gated driveway partially encircling the residence. The gardens are primarily laid to lawn with a lovely level section located to the north together with a spacious timber decked patio. The gardens are home to numerous mature trees, plants and shrubs. A large detached garden store also resides within the gardens which could be used for general storage or utilised as a garden studio/workshop. The remains of a former traditional outbuilding also lies close to the more recent garden store, adding further potential should additional outdoor storage be required. LOCATION
Menai Bridge is situated alongside the banks of the beautiful Menai Strait close to a natural narrowing where the famous Thomas Telford suspension bridge crosses the waters onto the Isle of Anglesey. In times past it was naturally seen as the place to cross by ferry before the bridge was constructed. This northern section of the strait opens out into the fabulous Hirael Bay leading to the Irish Sea sandwiched between the Snowdonia Mountains to one side and Puffin Island to the other which is just off the eastern tip of the island. You'll find the area offers so much in the way of convenience being ideally situated for the University City of Bangor which lies just two miles distant on the mainland.
The town has an interesting mixture of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture - even the main shopping area has a number of attractive traditional style shop frontages and all of your day to day requirements are well catered for. The town naturally has a sea faring heritage being a popular place to launch and moor sailing vessels with repair facilities also readily available. Interestingly, the university of Bangor has a large vessel moored here which undertakes expeditions to far flung places, giving students a real taste of life at sea.
